App Category Ranking

Returns the ranking of the application in the category chart

The Google Play Store and the App Store both organize their apps in different categories which users can browse in the form of lists. The position of an app within each list is what we call its "category ranking". Category rankings are exposed through two endpoints:

  • The Current endpoint which returns the latest - most recent - data available
  • The History endpoint which returns the historical daily values over a given period of time
